Clay Michael

Well here he is! He was born December 5, 2008. He was 6 lbs. 8 ounces and 18 inches long. He has been a really good baby. We are all doing good, I am just tired most of the time, but it is getting better. He is just the cutest thing, and makes the funniest faces, I could stare at him all day, which is what I mostly do.

This was his first day out in his stroller, we walked to the grocery store, and it is really cold outside, so Mike made sure Clay would be warm!

Baby Room!

Well I am officially done with work! YEAH!!! So now I am just waiting for the baby to come and I can't wait! I am so excited and ready for this baby to be here. I just wanted to show some pictures of the little one's room.

I made that little board that is a chalkboard/white board/cork board/picture holder thing, I think it turned out good, and then my cute shelves!

These are the owls my mom and I painted when she was here once. Also I painted that tree. . . does it look funny, be honest.

This is Mike's wall, he wants the baby to love maps like he does, and my cute lamp!

I love my crib! The dresser worked out perfectly! Also that is a bundle me that is in the crib that I am using in my car seat, and yes it does void the warranty on the car seat! DUMB!

This is the sock monkey I made, waiting patiently for the baby to come.

Well that is all, hopefully you can get an idea of what is looks like, taking pictures of a room is hard! I love how it turned out though!

Hypnobabies!

So I have started taking this class called hypnobabies. I LOVE IT! It has been so much fun, and so good for me. After my class at the hospital I was freaked out and felt very unprepared. I decided I want to have a natural birth. The things they taught me at the hospital just didn't seem like enough, I needed something else. So I found this class in Logan. It is just out of someones house, and the teacher comes up from Layton once a week. So far I have had two classes. She just focuses a lot on talking positive about the whole experience, and telling yourself it is going to go well. Then of course we do relaxation exercises, and last week we learned about nutrition as well. There are two other couples in the class and Mike and I really like them. We get along with them really well. One of the girls, this is her second, and the other couple, this is their third. I am the one that is closest to having our baby. I am hoping I will make it to the end of the class! I have really enjoyed it though and I feel a million times better about having a baby. I also went to my sister in law's house the other night. We got to smell lots of good stuff from sentsy, and then she taught me how to do infant massage! It was a good night, and then the next day I had Mike smell all the ones I had picked out, so he would know just how great they are.

Deck

So I am sure most of you have heard about the deck that Travis built for Mike and I. It is excellent! I love it! Yeah for Travis having time off of school and being board!!! Also thank you to mom and dad for funding the project. It turned out so good! We love it, and now our dogs can't jump up on our back door!!! YEAH!!! They hate it, I love it. Thanks again Trav for all your hard work, we love our new deck!

This is just the beginning.

all finished! Pretty!

me pregnant, and I swear I don't wear this shirt all the time, it is just the one I am always wearing when I take prego pictures of myself apparently.

so turns out Mike took a picture of the brownies before we devoured them. Look how cute?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

My sweet husband and I have been married for a year now! Can you believe it! It has gone by so fast, and I have loved every minute of it. It was October 20, which this year was a Monday. So let me tell you a little bit about our day.

Monday's are the worst days for us because Mike has school until about 8:30 and I have a class in Salt Lake that I go to every Monday and get home around 10:00 pm. So basically we don't see each other all day, and I usually have to wake him up when I get home from class to let him know I am back. So this past Monday I was a little bummed that I wasn't going to get to see Mike all day long. So I get to work and Frank can see that I am not in the greatest of moods, and asks me if I want to go run and errand to get out for a little bit. Mike had just told me that morning before I left for work that if Frank asks me to run an errand to ask to use his truck because our subie is acting funny. So I ask Frank and he says that is fine, so I go to "downtown logan" to the Logo shop where the parking lot is like an alley way. So on the other side of this alley way (parking lot) is a ups truck (who gets the full blame for what I am about to tell you). So as I am leaving the ups man is nowhere to be found and I don't want to back out onto main street. So I try to get around him, when I see that this is impossible I decide to park in the parking spot I am close to (they were the angled ones) ya, I was too close to do that as well. I realized this when I heard Frank car crunching into another car already parked. I just froze, backed out and heard the dent pop out, and went onto main street parked there and put my head in my hands. I thought maybe it isn't too bad and I won't have to mention a thing. That would've been nice. I got out to look at the truck and it is dented with a little of the other cars paint on it. By this point I am in tears trying to figure out what to do. To make a long story short, I called Frank, he wasn't angry just told me to come back and we would figure everything out.

That was my day. Happy Anniversary.

So I went to my class that night everything went well I finished my leather book and I love it! I came home to find Mike was still awake. He had me wait in the living room while he went and lit candles on some brownies he had made for me. On the brownies he wrote Happy 1st anniversary to us. It was so cute and just what I needed, a perfect ending to a not so great day.
I would show you a picture of these wonderful brownies but they unfortunately are all gone. They were very yummy.

I couldn't ask for a better husband, Mike spoils me and I love it. He is the most wonderful thing in the entire world and I couldn't ask for more. I love how excited he is to have a baby, and I can't wait. I love Mike so much and we have had one great year, and I am so excited for our new adventures. He is my best friend, and I have so much fun spending time with him. Plus look at how cute he is!

I have more things to post about but that will have to wait until another day!

SNOW!!!!

It is October 11th and it is snowing!! YEAH! I can't believe how much is coming down, but they are really small flakes and not really sticking. It is supposed to snow about 2 inches in the valley today, so they say. I tried to take a picture of it and it doesn't work, it just looks like fall, and if you look really close you can see little white streaks. So this morning Mike is doing a service project outside! YIKES! That should be fun shoveling dirt in the snow and it is really really windy. So while he has been gone I have been crafting. I saw Jen's cute Halloween decorations and thought, I want to make halloween decorations! So I tried finding a fun font online to use to make a little banner, and I couldn't figure out how to get it on my 12x12 orange paper, so I just used a sharpie! So here is what I have done last night until 11:30 and then this morning at 8:00. I think it turned out pretty alright. I might get different branches I haven't decided yet. Next fun thing that is going to happen today, Jen and I are going to make sock monkeys!! YEAH! I am so excited, it will be great fun. I will post a picture of that later.

Real quick update.

Well I am now at 30 weeks, well 31 tomorrow. I went to the doctor today everything is right on schedule and I start my appointments every 2 weeks. I am going to go to a couple of the other doctors for these next visits to get to know them, in case they are the ones on call when I have my baby. Also I am posting a picture of Brad and Emily's baby! SO CUTE!!! Mya Ada Hulse, she was born October 7th, 8lbs 13 ounces and 20 1/2 inches!! I am so happy for them and I wish I could be there!!! I don't know when I will see them next, maybe we can swing Christmas, that is what I am hoping for. Also there is a picture of when My mom and sister Angie came to visit. I had so much fun with both of them! Angie was here for the weekend for my baby shower and my mom got to be here for almost a whole week! We did lots of little projects, and I will have to take a picture of the baby's room and show you. There is so much I have to write about but I have to get to making my mom's birthday present, which is TODAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! So until next time. . .

Our addition!

So, I am finally posting about our new addition to our house. We added on a little room that is now our office/closet. So the original room with all of these things will now be the new baby's room! YEAH!!! We have had a lot of help with this room. Our crazy neighbor helped/was annoying for the entire project. Travis came up a couple of weekends and helped us completely finish it, we wouldn't have gotten it done without him. Megan and I helped paint, that was good! Cody also helped out a lot with the wiring, everything went really smoothly with that thanks to him. The room looks so good though and I love how it turned out. I am using it right now it is so wonderful to have it completed. We can say we did it all ourselves, even the carpet! Mike and I did the carpet, which was a huge pain, but I think it turned out incredibly well! Well enough talk just look at the pictures. Also I thew a picture of me in there, that is me at about 25 weeks.

Wedding and Craftiness

Travis is all married now, and the wedding was beautiful, hot but beautiful. I had tons of fun with my family and I wish it could've lasted longer. We had so much fun shopping , swimming, and staying up late together. The only bad thing was that I came home sick. I think it was probably the combination of not very much sleep and going from extremely humid to extremely dry. I am starting to get over it though. This past week I have had about 2-3 nose bleeds a day! It is so annoying, and I considered getting my nose cotterized (I have no idea how to spell that) Good news is, I haven't had a bloody nose in a couple of days! YEAH!! One of my favorite stories from the trip is my nephew Prescott told Mike that he needed to wash off his tattoos before church on Sunday. He told him that he had a tattoo on his arm once and his mom made him wash it off before church. Mike assured him that they would be washed off by the following day. I wish I would have heard the conversation, Mike said it was cute.

So I have been crafting away on onesies. That is the other photo obviously, it has been keeping me occupied while Mike is gone in Idaho. I know, I know they will get spit up on and dirty before I know it, but what the heck, it was fun anyways. Also, I have been feeling the baby move around quite a bit. Last night I could feel it for a while, it is kind of crazy, and fun all at the same time. The other day I got to hold a 3 day old baby, it was TINY!!!

That is about all the rambling I have to do tonight. I mostly just wanted to show pictures!

BABY!

So I had my doctors appointment this morning, I went in hoping I was going to get an ultra sound but thinking I probably wouldn't. Well when I went in with the nurse she said, "oh are you having your ultra sound today?? You should because you are 19 1/2 weeks" I said I was hoping so but i wasn't sure. She told me you have to specifically schedule your ultra sound because it is a special lady that does that, well nobody told me that!!! Even when I made my appointment why didn't anybody mention that to me!! So then my doctor came in and said, oh you should be having an ultra sound today why are you not?? I told him because nobody informed me that I had to schedule it specially with this lady. I also told him that I was going to Texas the next day and it would be fun to show my family pictures!! So he said he would see what he could do to squeeze me in!!! YEAH!!!! I was so excited, so he came back in and told me she just got there and she was doing an ultra sound and that she would squeeze me in after this other girl! So we just had to wait like 15 minutes or so and then it was out turn!! YEAH!!! It was so much fun and she had the whole fancy 3-D thing, and she gave me a CD so this is our sweet little baby. It was so much fun, and I can't wait to go to Texas tomorrow and see my family!!! Other good news Mike is skipping work to play today!! So I am taking a half day of work, so it was a great day!

Lots of updates.

So I had something that I wanted to write about and now I can't think of what it was. I wanted to write an update though, so here goes.

Well first off all the last blog I wrote when we were supposed to go on that trip to Sun Valley, that didn't work out at all. We ended up not going, and it turned out to be a good thing. Nothing was working out in our favor to go that weekend but I just kept fighting it, I was going!!! Mike called when I was waiting for JJ to come over so we could leave and said he was on his way home and he was calling it off. He had a weird afternoon that day and almost got stranded on his four wheeler, and just didn't have a good feeling about this trip the entire time. So finally I gave in and told him to just come home. So that night I went and waited at a friends house until he got home because he wasn't getting home until really late. Well he got home around midnight and when we got back to our house it smelled terribly of gas! All the pilot lights were lit on the stove but little did I know there was one for he oven, which makes sense I just never thought of it. So that one had gone out and that one leaks the most gas of all of them. So we had gas leaking in our house with two pilot lights still lit near by! NOT GOOD!!!! So if I would have left for the weekend our house would probably not be here anymore. So now we have a brand new oven, so while Mike is gone he doesn't have to worry about pilot lights randomly going off with me home! YEAH!!! I love our new oven though, and we got some work done on the house that weekend. So all in all it was a good thing.

This last week I had Friday off instead of Saturday, so Mike and I decided to go for a bike ride. I borrowed a mountain bike from somebody at Al's and it was my first mountain bike ride. We also took the pups and they loved it. Naomi got really tired and the end and just started walking but right in front of Mike of course, she still had to be in front even though she was tired. It was really fun though, where we went it was shaded the whole time so it was really nice weather. We woke up pretty early too and went. It was a very good first experience. There were some little jumps along the way that were my favorite, I didn't jump off them I just went up and over them they were so much fun and those bikes are so squishy! I loved it!

We are also making progress on the house. Mike got all the insulation put down in the floor and the floor boards put down as well! YEAH! Cody came over and is going to help us with all the electrical. He just built a garage on his house and did all the wiring himself so he is going to share his knowledge. So that is what we are going to do this weekend. I am excited that we are making progress. Mike wants to have it completely finished by the time school starts. He is taking 22 credits this fall so he won't have much free time. I have a feeling once school starts time is going to fly by and it is going to be December before we know it!!!

I have also made a decision on what I am going to do for the baby's room, but you will just have to wait and see it when it is done, I will hopefully get a new camera or new battery for my old one so I can start taking more pictures!!! I have decided on a crib, car seat, and some other stuff I want to buy as well, now I just need to save my pennies.

Well this next Tuesday I am headed to Houston for Travis' wedding! I am so excited to see my family! I will be there for almost whole week and Mike flies out that Friday! I think well I know when I get there we will be doing lots of little crafts and hanging out in the pool. I am so excited I get to see everybody again! Also Mike's mom is going to take me to the airport on Tuesday, I am excited for that as well I love spending time with her and I think we are going to go out for breakfast! It will be a good week next week.

hmmm. . . .

Well today is again Monday, which means Mike left this morning to go to Idaho for the week. The really good thing and sucky thing about this week is. . . I am going to Idaho to see him for the weekend!!! The sucky part is, he usually comes home Thursday night, but I have to work Friday. So I will drive up with JJ and Scotty Friday after work that is one less day to see my husband! DUMB! It will be fun however to go see where he is living. We are going to go canoing across a lake and do a little hiking! It will be tons o fun.

The newest thing I did to keep myself busy was to redo some chairs! The business next to Prince Gallery went out of business, sad for them happy for me! They were throwing away everything, so I got some free chairs and spray painted them and re-upholstered them, they look really good I think. Especially for my first time doing that! So that was my highlight of last week.

I also had another doctors appointment last week, which the doctor was not there because he was delivering a baby over at the hospital. My dad says that is a good sign, now I know he has experience. So the nurse just did a little ultra sound so I could hear the babies heart beat. She couldn't find it for a little bit and it was freaking me out!! But no worries she found it and all is good.

I came home to presents on my door today. Mike's mom loves to get us goodies and leave them at our door. She is so funny, and I love the presents. She got some cute baby clothes, towels, and wash cloths. They all have cute little duckies on them. Also she bought me some bread and E.L. Fudge cookies!! YUMMY! She is so good to us! I love getting surprises when I get home from work.

where to start. . . .

Well I have not updated this in a while!!! I am terrible at it. I have been told numerous times by numerous people, so now I am finally updating!!!

First of all I am once again at Prince Gallery. I went back, I couldn't stay away for too long. The other job wasn't what I thought at all, and there was nothing for me to do. If there weren't any customers I just stood around and did nothing. It was on commission which turned out to be really sucky. Anyways, that is behind me now, I am back at Prince Gallery and loving it. It is good to be back and I feel at home. That sounds dumb but I do.

Next and probably most importantly, I am prego! I am posting my first ultra sound with this blog, that was at about 11 weeks. Right now I am at 14 weeks. So far so good, I haven't been too sick. I lost my appetite for a little while, and I am getting really picky about what I eat when I have never really been that picky before about food. My belly is starting to poke out a little so right now it just looks like I am a little chubby, but that is fine. Mike is really exited for when I have a big belly. I have mixed feelings. We are both really excited though to have a baby. We are adding a little more room onto our house. Those who have seen our house know that we could use even just a little more space. The room I am in now will later be converted into the baby's room, right now it is the catch all room. This is another reason for me switching back to Prince Gallery, he is a lot more flexible with time off and now he knows me so he doesn't get so mad when I am constantly late. Also if I wanted to work after I have our baby I could probably bring it with me to work if I needed to. Also we are not going to find out what we are having, we are going to have it be a surprise.

Other thing, Mike is doing an internship right now in Idaho. So he leaves early Monday morning to be at work and comes home Thursday night. It has been alright I guess. The first week was miserable. It hasn't been too much fun since but has gotten better. He is doing an internship with the BLM (Bureau of Land Management). He mapping random roads that probably shouldn't be there. His job is to find them map them out and then other people decide what to do with them. He has his own atv, and drives around in a big truck, which I guess is good because your tax dollars are paying for the gas!!! He is staying at a fire station in a town called Bellevue, it is pretty close to Sun Valley. He has his own room, they have cable, big kitchen, and all the outdoor recreation you could ask for. So he is having a fun time and planning lots of fun stuff for us to do when I go there for the weekend.

Also, my friend JJ is in town, she is staying until the end of July! It is so fun to have her here and I have been having lots of fun with her. She helps me get through the week without Mike here. We have been riding bikes together a lot and she works a ton, hopefully that will stop soon so we can play more!

One more thing, this weekend we went rock climbing for the first time this season! It was so fun! I forget how much I love it! It is so relaxing at times. It is just quiet, and you are constantly thinking, where can my right hand go, and when I move my right hand where am I going to put my left foot. I love it! We went with our brother in law Cody. He is fun to go with because he is very knowledgeable and a good teacher. Hopefully we will go again next weekend.

Well I love you all and I hope you enjoyed my updates, I will keep up with it more . . . . hopefully.

Goodbye Prince Gallery

So today was officially my last day at Prince Gallery. This has been the only job I have been sad about leaving. When I gave Frank my two weeks I cried immediately after, and have cried periodically at work when thinking about leaving. I will now be working at Inkley's which will be a very good job, and I am confident I have made the right decision. Frank went to many great lengths to get me to stay, he even tried to get me heath insurance. I was very flattered by all the things he tried to do for me to get me to stay. I was supposed to work all week and my last would have been Friday. To my surprise when I told Frank I was definitely going to Inkley's he said today was my last day and he wanted my key. It was a very sad day, and once again cried when I left. I loved that job, and I learned a lot there. I met some awesome people and had a great time. It is time to move on though. On to my next adventure to learn more about photography, something I have wanted to learn about for quite some time now. I am excited to take on my new adventure. Also now I get the rest of the week off!!! YEAH!! I have recently learned how to make books, so that is what I will do this week! I will probably find many other projects I want to start as well.

Injuries

So, my story goes like this. I was up at good old Beaver mountain, having a good time, and I thought I should try to go off some jumps again. So Mike went a did a little trick and these little boys were so impressed. So I thought well I can't go slow like I usually do and not get very much air, because that would just be lame. So I went faster into the jump than I normally do. So I went really high but I landed it!! YEAH!! I was so stoked, in fact I was thinking about how good I did and forgot to slow down for the next jump, which by the way is bigger than the first one. I went off the second one really really high, I just remember being in the air looking at my snowboard thinking holy crap (or some other words) I am really high right now, how am I supposed to land this. So I actually did land it, but I was so scared I just sat down while landing and got this bruise on my arm! So that is my story, it was a super good day and Mike was very proud of me.

Naomi just got spayed, poor thing. She is fine now but the first day we got her back she was completely out of it and the only spot she would lay down was on our bed. She was on her sleeping bag on the floor and wouldn't lay down so she kept falling over because she was trying to sleep sitting up. Crazy dogs, but she is jumping around and being crazy like normal.

NEW KITCHEN!

So we redid our kitchen, and I love it!!! So I don't have too much to say just look at before and after pictures! We put new floors in and re painted everything!

Snowshoeing!!!

So, I haven't updated this in a really long time!! We just went on a really fun snowshoeing adventure today so I thought I would post some fun pictures! It has been snowing like crazy today!! When I woke up this morning at 8:30 it was snowing and it is still snowing now, and it is 6:30! Crazy!!! So we went with Scotty and his two dogs. So we had three people and 4 dogs! They loved it but were so tired from walking in tall snow, so they both passed out when we got home. Right now we are just about to do some dutch oven dinner and dessert! So my hands are freezing right now and it is hard to type, so look at the cool pics and I hope all is well with everybody! YEAH FOR NEW SNOW!!!
