HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!!

Today is Mike's birthday, and he is now as old as I am!!! I haven't posted his picture of his hair being cut yet, so I thought this would be a good time. He came home from work one day and said he was done with his hair and he wanted to cut it that day! So we went and got it chopped off and saved his pony tail to donate to locks of love (or whatever it is called).

This year has been so fun especially with our Clay. Mike is such an awesome Papa and loves playing with Clay. Clay always knows when he gets home and smiles when he can hear his voice. Mike has been working so hard for our little family so I don't have to go to work and I really appreciate it. He even gets up in the middle of the night with me if Clay wakes up even though he has to get up and go to work at 4:00 in the morning!
I love every minute I get to spend with him, and we always have a good time. We are always trying new things which is always fun. Mike is up for pretty much anything, and he is always encouraging me to do the things I like to do.

Houses, cleaning, and fun weekends!

So today we put an offer on this house we have been looking at, which also means our house is now for sale!!! AHHHH!! So we went and did all the paper work and about a half hour later the Realtor called us and said will you be in the home show. .. TOMORROW MORNING! Mike said, ya that will be just fine. He tells me and I say WHAT!!!! So you all know what I have been doing all day today . . .cleaning like mad. Well I didn't finish everything and Mike is home from work now. He brought me home a shake for cleaning all day, and went outside. I thought he was working on Bikes in the shop, but he was taking down our CHRISTMAS lights! YIKES! We still haven't taken those down yet! So I was going to finish up cleaning the kitchen and bedroom but he told me I had three options 1 eat the rest of my shake 2 look on the computer or 3 lay down and rest. I have a great husband. Well I decided to write a blog because I haven't done that in a little while. I will keep you updated on the house.

This last weekend Travis and Megan came up to visit and we had such a great time. It was Travis' spring break this past week but he didn't get to go anywhere so he was a little bummed. So they deceided to come up here and get a hotel room to eat pizza, swim, and play their new wii! It was so much fun! I love playing the wii, and I got to try out wii fit and found out my balance is way off! I was excited to see if Clay would play in the pool, but when we got to the pool there was a huge sign that said . .no kids under the age of 5, no diapers, bla bla bla. So bummer he didn't get to go kick around in the pool. Maybe when we go to Texas in June he will be able to. He will be 6 months old then too!!! Thanks for the fun weekend Travis and Megan!

The weekend before that my friends drove all the way to Utah to see the fam! It was so fun to see them! I haven't seen Theresa in so long!!!!! It has almost been a year since I have seen JJ too! I had a great time with them, and I got to meet Shane which was fun as well! Also Theresa's friend, Christina, brought up her twins!! They are so cute, and more power to her raising twins, I would die. It was a short but awesome weekend! Thanks again for driving so far to see us!

Clay is doing great, he is still just as cute as ever. He is really starting to grab his toys, it is so fun to watch him. He is such a happy baby! We have a lot of fun together.

Something is off. . .

So the other day Mike decided to hold Clay while I put his pants on, and it was kind of difficult. I thought that it was okay though. Well he was kind of upset and Mike kept asking him what was wrong. We went to put him in his car seat and well. . . . you can see what is wrong now! Poor kid, that is why he was upset, he had two legs crammed in one leg hole!

I just thought this video was cute, and I haven't put a video on here before so I thought I would give it a shot. This is one of his most favorite toys and he is getting to where he can get a hold of it sometimes. I just thought this was cute because he was talking in it too! Enjoy!

Sleepy Breeze and bikes!

I have been meaning to blog about this for a while now. Mike kept telling me that I could put Clay to sleep better than he could. So he came up with this idea to get him to go to sleep. While he is rocking him he blows on his face. He calls it the sleepy breeze. He says this works because then he HAS to close his eyes, which will make him even more sleepy and he WILL go to sleep. Well I am not totally convinced that this little trick works. So one day, when we went to Moab actually, he was in his car seat and would not go to sleep. So I got in the back with him and since he had been crying so much his poor little head was bright red and he was hot. So I not thinking about the sleepy breeze starting blowing on his face a little bit to COOL him down! Well it worked and he went to sleep, and Mike caught me doing the sleepy breeze. So anyways it is an on going joke around here and I am still not totally convinced that it works.

Next thing. We ordered our bikes!!! YEAH!! I am so excited. I am getting a road bike. I want to go on long rides, that is my goal. I am not sure when or how I will do these longs rides, but I will figure it out! I am getting a CADD9 , and I am going to get clipless petals (red ones!) which I am nervous and excited about. That huge scar on Mike's arm. . . that is from clipless petals!!
Mike is also getting a new bike, opposite of mine. The bike I am getting is known for how light it is, Mike's bike is known for how incredibly heavy it is. His bike is for going really fast down hill. It is called the perp.
Clay is getting a chairot so he can come along on all of our fun adventures! He is still a little too small for it though, so maybe when is about 6 months old he will be able to fit into it. We will see.

Spring???

I am ready for spring!! I am done with the snow and my really icy driveway. I haven't been able to really play in the snow as much as I normally do, so I am done with it for now. I am ready to play at the park and ride my bike and be outside!

Clay has been doing so good, he sleeps really well. He has been sleeping from about 10-5:30 sometimes longer than that. He has been talking a lot more and giggling a little bit. He loves morning time, which he does not get from me. We recently got him this bumbo chair that he loves! It helps him sit up and that is his favorite thing to do lately.

I also made him this little felt hat (compliments of the Martha Stewart website) it is a cute little hat I think. Plus he is smiling in this picture! CUTE! You can't really tell but he is wearing little owl leggings!


So one day we drove up the canyon to get some fresh air and Mike was playing with Clay and I just really liked this picture.

Last, this is a little sock monkey I made for Angie, I think it turned out really cute.

That is mostly all that is going on with us. Mike is still just working like crazy, so I love it when he is home for a minute so I can spend time with him. I end up hanging out at Al's sporting goods a lot so I can see him. Everything is going good though, and I actually got to go snowboarding for the first time this last weekend. It was a really fun day, and the snow was good and the sky was clear it was great. Clay got to spend time with his Aunt Tammy, I think they both had a fun time. It was my first time leaving him, and I did pretty good I think.
